JEMEZ MOUNTAINS

HOT SPRINGS, ELK, AND FLY FISHING.

There is a ton of exploring to be done along Road 126 between Los Alamos and Cuba, NM.

We suggest visiting the San Antonio Hot Springs in the winter. You have to camp out in a not-so-glamorous but still super beautiful parking lot trailhead, but it's so worth it. Get an early start on the 3 mile hike in the AM before the crowds start hiking in, and you'll have a tower of hot springs falling down a mountain side all to yourself.

There is a ton of fly fishing to be done along the many streams and lakes in the wilderness, but we suggest camping near the San Gregorio Lake trailhead for pristine views and quiet spaces.

Our favorite spots are located west of Los Alamos along Road 126.
