CARLSBAD CAVING

STUMBLE UPON A CAVE SYSTEM RIGHT NEXT TO CAMP

The Carlsbad area doesn't have a ton of camping listed on the map, but we just so happened to find this total gemstone in the middle of the night. Located just outside of Carlsbad, there's a huge, flat chunk of land that allows camping. We pulled in and set up camp, only to discover that the site was right next to an open cave system just beyond a chain link fence.

Bring some good waterproof shoes, fully charged lights, and some snacks and you're in for a great adventure. There are openings to the cave system dotted across the land, so look carefully then dive on in!
