The Santa Fe National Forest

Forest Road 121 is where it's at. Despite a broken leg we loaded up the dogs and headed out into the mountains that overlook Santa Fe. Destination - somewhere quite and open. What we found was a shmorgishborg of remote sites humming with bird songs and hidden in a thick forest of trees.

NOTE: As of this past week the forest is now under Stage 2 fire restrictions. That means no campfires, no cooking outside, and no smoking outside. Respect it!
